These forms I am not really happy with. I think the concept could be promising, but my execution was not great.

Tony Clennell mentioned that it was surprising to see the hump on the inside even though it must be obvious that there is one, and I saw it today. It is kind of surprising. You kind of expect it to be flat on the inside even though you know it can be.

Hey followers, sorry I have not posted in a while. My first year at Sheridan has been crazy, and is even more crazy now! First semester I made a large coil pot that we pit fired, made molds and cast them and stuff, and I made bowls that I then stacked and made into vases.

This term is pretty exciting (and 1 million times the workload). Started sculpture, and Maiolica, as well as “ceramic technology”. Get to draw on pots, make big useless things, and mess with glazes (possibly crystalline glazes :D ).

So, I will try to update more often, but it will probably all be crappy cellphone images of process.

Raku, raku glaze. Cone 6 stoneware Bisque.

The first time this came out the glaze had not matured and it was blistery and matte.

Floating Blue on the inside. Slate Blue on the outside. Floating blue didn’t turn out how I thought, but it’s still nice. Cone 6.
